Ramblin' in My Mind

Ramblin’ in my backyard,  Diggin’ deep into the  ground

Ramblin’ in my  inner  garden,  Diggin’ deep into my mind

On a hot  late summer mid-day, I can feel  the sunshine burn

I just slowly dream away, I know the vision will return

A deserted railway station on a long and dusty road

Where there’s no one else around and every movement is too slow

I am taken from this moment far beyond the sense of time

To a place I’ve never heard of, In a dark side of my mind

Carried far away by my own imagination

Wandering slow & easy  between empty railway trucks

Then I see an open door,  like an open invitation

Think I’ll take my changes and I challenge my good luck

Ramblin’ in my backyard,  Diggin’ deep into the  ground

Ramblin’ in my  inner  garden,  Diggin’ deep into my mind

On a hot  late summer mid-day, I  am  burned by the sun

I just deeply dream away, I feel the  nightmare has begun

Feels like I am slightly caught between the future and the past,

‘cos the present seems to fade and what is ‘now’ is running fast

Allthough I don’t know what’s the mystic destination,

I don’t really care, so I step into the truck.

I’m captured by the silence, caught between two different worlds

When suddenly the train is riding, the doors get closed and stuck

Taken to the edge of my wild imagination

A pressing silence falls inside, I am facing my bad luck

                 .

Faces outside the windows staring and laughing  at me

Surrounded by  strange shadows, moving ‘round in agony

hands all over my body, though there’s nothing I can see

I feels snakes crawling ‘round my feet, rising to my knees

Ramblin’ in my backyard,  Diggin’ deep into the  ground

Ramblin’ in my  inner  garden,  Diggin’ deep into my mind

On a hot  late summer mid-day, I  am  burned by the sun

I just deeply dream away, I feel the  nightmare has begun

Feels like I am slightly caught between the future and the past,

‘cos the present seems to fade and what is ‘now’ is running fast

Reality is fading, like a Stephen King-like story,

Fantasy runs wild, full of fear and evil glory

I get deeper,  deeper  ‘n deeper in this irreality

Feeling like a stranger, in this virtuality

The sky is getting full with a crazy  purple glow

The train is moving slowly in a dark & misty zone

                         Ramblin’ in my backyard,…

                         Diggin’ deep into the  ground…

                         Ramblin’ in my  inner  garden…

                         Diggin’ deep into my mind…

And then suddenly the sky is clear, I’m driving through all fences

I’m lifted out of the train, I get back to my senses

I’m back into my garden, back to “here and now”,

Kneeled down on the grass, put my hands into the ground

                           Ramblin’ in my backyard,…

                           Diggin’ deep into the  ground…

                           Ramblin’ in my  inner  garden…

                            Diggin’ deep into my mind…
